A manufacturer in Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Legal Counsel to provide immediate support on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is a broad, hands-on role covering domestic and international commercial contracts alongside employment, litigation, environmental, regulatory and competition matters. Applicants must be available to start immediately or at short notice.

Our client is a substantial UK organisation operating across a complex, internationally connected and highly regulated environment. Its legal team works closely with senior stakeholders across commercial, operational and corporate functions, providing advice on matters with genuine financial and strategic importance.
The organisation offers an experienced lawyer the opportunity to undertake meaningful work from the outset, combining high-value commercial matters with exposure to a wide range of wider legal issues.
Description
The Senior Commercial Legal Counsel will be:
- Taking ownership of a broad range of domestic and international commercial contracts involving the purchase and sale of goods and services.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex, high-value and business-critical agreements.
- Providing initial advice on employment, HR and litigation matters and managing external counsel on more complex cases.
- Advising senior stakeholders on environmental, regulatory and competition law risks.
- Delivering pragmatic and commercially focused advice with minimal supervision from the outset.

Profile
The Senior Commercial Legal Counsel should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with at least 10 years' PQE.
- Available to begin the assignment immediately or at short notice.
- Experienced in handling a broad range of commercial contracts autonomously.
- Ideally experienced within an in-house legal team and accustomed to working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Preferably experienced within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or another complex operational environment.
- Comfortable providing initial guidance across employment, litigation, environmental, regulatory and competition matters.
- Confident instructing and managing external legal advisers where specialist support is required.
- Practical, resilient and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving business.

Job Offer
The successful Senior Commercial Legal Counsel will receive:
- A salary of £90,000-£100,000 pro rata.
- An immediate six-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to turn permanent.
- Hybrid working, with two days per week in the Lincolnshire office.
- Exposure to complex UK and international commercial matters.
- Direct interaction with senior business stakeholders.
