Location: London (4 days per week in the office)
Salary: £90,000 - £115,000
A global leader in healthcare technology is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team. Operating at the forefront of innovation, the business develops cutting-edge medical technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide. This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative, international environment, supporting complex commercial initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
The role
Reporting into a senior member of the legal team, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of business matters. The successful candidate will partner closely with commercial, clinical and operational stakeholders, supporting strategic projects and helping to manage legal risk in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier and partnership contracts.
- Advise the business on legal and commercial risks associated with strategic transactions and day-to-day operations.
- Support clinical trial agreements and provide legal guidance on clinical research activities.
- Partner with colleagues across the UK and US, advising on cross-border commercial matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions that enable business objectives.
- Assist with compliance initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and templates.
- Manage external counsel where required.
About you
- Qualified lawyer with 5-8 years’ post-qualification experience gained in-house and/or in private practice.
- Proven experience negotiating and advising on complex commercial contracts.
- Experience supporting clinical trials or the life sciences/MedTech sector would be highly advantageous.
- Exposure to US commercial legal matters or experience working with US-based stakeholders is desirable.
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
