Commercial Lending Administrator

Eden Scott is working on behalf of a valued client to recruit a Commercial Lending Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lending professional to join a busy, high-performing team, supporting the end-to-end administration of lending facilities across a diverse portfolio.

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • A strong background in lending administration or credit operations
  • A highly organised and detail-focused mindset
  • Confidence in managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced financial services environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer a high volume of lending transactions from sanction through to drawdown
  • Prepare, review, and complete facility agreements and security documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure all lending activity is processed in line with:
    • Internal procedures
    • Regulatory requirements
    • Service level standards
  • Liaise with:
    • Relationship managers
    • Internal teams
    • External legal advisers to ensure timely completion of transactions
  • Proactively manage transaction pipelines, identifying and resolving issues to avoid delays
  • Maintain:
    • Accurate and up-to-date records across banking systems
    • Documentation repositories
  • Support ongoing administration of lending facilities, including:
    • Amendments
    • Renewals
    • Post-completion activities
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by:
    • Sharing knowledge
    • Supporting colleagues as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in:
    • Lending administration
    • Loan processing
    • Credit operations within banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Loan and security documentation
    • The process for perfecting security (covering England & Wales and/or Scotland)
  • Proven ability to:
    • Manage multiple lending cases simultaneously
    • Maintain strong organisational skills
  • High level of:
    • Attention to detail
    • Accuracy
  • Ability to:
    • Work effectively under pressure
    • Meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders
  • Good understanding of:
    • Banking systems
    • Processes and controls
