Bethany School
Bethany School is delighted to invite applications for the new role of Commercial Lettings Manager, an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow the School’s commercial activity and maximise non-fee income from our exceptional facilities.
Set within 60 acres of beautiful Kent countryside, Bethany has invested in the expansion of its commercial offering, including the Pengelly Performance Centre (theatre) and a 25m six-lane swimming pool, alongside a wide range of creative arts, sports and residential facilities. This role will play a pivotal part in unlocking their potential while ensuring all activity aligns with Bethany’s educational offering as well as its ethos and values.
The Role
Reporting to the Bursar and working closely with the Marketing team, the Commercial Lettings Manager will lead the development, promotion and delivery of Bethany’s lettings and residential holiday programmes. You will build strong commercial relationships, identify new revenue opportunities and ensure that all lettings are professionally managed, compliant and financially sustainable.
The role is offered initially on a part-time basis (20 hours per week), worked flexibly to suit business needs, including some evenings and weekends. As commercial activity and income grow, there is clear potential for the role and hours to expand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
