Commercial Litigation Lawyer (4–5 PQE)
An Elite US law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate (4–5 PQE) to join its growing Dubai disputes practice. Due to an increasing volume of complex commercial litigation before the DIFC Courts, the team is looking to hire an experienced litigator with strong offshore courts experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded disputes team acting on high-value, cross-border matters for international corporates, financial institutions, and major regional businesses.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work on some of the most significant commercial disputes in the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on proceedings before the DIFC Courts. The successful candidate will join a partner-led team where associates receive significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and involvement in every stage of complex litigation.
The team is looking for a lawyer whose practice is focused almost exclusively on commercial litigation, rather than candidates whose experience is split between litigation and arbitration. Lawyers relocating from London with strong DIFC Courts experience will also be considered.
The Team
The disputes practice is recognised for advising clients on complex, high-value commercial litigation across the UAE and wider Middle East. The team regularly acts on multi-jurisdictional disputes involving financial institutions, multinational corporations, sovereign entities, and high-net-worth individuals, with a particular strength in offshore litigation before the DIFC Courts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
