Position: Commercial Litigation Solicitor – 2 Vacancies (London & Birmingham)

Locations: London & Birmingham

Salary: £85,000 – £100,000 DOE

Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Working Available

The Role

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking two experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitors to join its expanding Dispute Resolution team. With opportunities available in both London and Birmingham, this is an excellent opportunity for ambitious solicitors to play a key role in the continued growth of a thriving litigation practice.

The successful candidates will lead a team of legal professionals, managing a broad caseload of high-value commercial disputes while supporting the strategic development of the department. The caseload is predominantly commercial litigation, with approximately 5% insolvency work and exposure to Group Litigation Orders (GLOs) and other complex multi-party disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team within the Commercial Litigation department.
  • Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters with minimal supervision.
  • Advise clients on contractual disputes, including claims under personal guarantees.
  • Handle professional negligence, company and partnership disputes.
  • Manage shareholder disputes, high-value personal disputes, group litigation, and insolvency matters (approximately 5% of the caseload).
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and exceptional client service.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure matters are progressed efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Dispute Resolution team.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 8+ years' PQE in Commercial Litigation.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a litigation team.
  • Proven experience managing complex commercial litigation matters independently.
  • Experience of group litigation and/or multi-party disputes would be advantageous.
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational and case management abilities.
  • Commercially minded with outstanding communication and client care skills.
  • A collaborative leader with a proactive approach.
