Job Description: Commercial Manager-Sport & Entertainment Partnerships (New Business Focus)
Location: London & Leigh-on-Sea
Reports to: CEO

Role Overview
You will be a core part of MSM’s growth engine, with a sharp focus on new business generation. You will identify, pitch, negotiate, and close partnership deals with brands and rights holders, expanding MSM’s portfolio across sport and entertainment. You’ll build a sales pipeline, hit ambitious revenue targets, and help position MSM as a leader in creating authentic, transformative partnerships.

Business Development & New Sales
- Proactively source and develop new leads and brand prospects, especially in sport, entertainment, culture, and influencer sectors.
- Build customised proposals and go-to-market strategies for prospective partners.
- Lead pitches and presentations to senior decision-makers in brands and rights holder organisations.
- Negotiate and close sponsorship/partnership agreements, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Maintain and track a robust pipeline; forecast revenue; report on status, obstacles, and wins.
Brand & Rights Holder Alignment
- Understand MSM’s strengths and existing partnerships (case studies include work with Oracle Red Bull Racing & Castore, Manchester City FC & Warner Bros, etc.); use these to position MSM effectively in new business situations.
- Identify what assets rights holders have, what value brands seek, and find creative alignment between them.
Market & Commercial Insight
- Monitor sponsorship trends, competitor activity, brand marketing shifts, and consumer behavior.
- Use insights to inform value propositions, packaging of sponsorship rights, and pricing.
- Ensure proposals show anticipated ROI, awareness, sales, storytelling outcomes.
Relationship Building & Representation
- Grow senior-level relationships with brands, marketing decision-makers, rights holders, and influencers.
- Represent MSM at industry & sporting events, conferences & networking.
- Position MSM’s brand promise: authentic, transformative partnerships.

Skills & Experience
- Strong track record in new sponsorship sales in the sport & entertainment sectors.
- Experience negotiating high-value partnership or sponsorship deals.
- Excellent presentation, persuasion, and communication skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute: able to package value, understand ROI, measure outcomes.
- Resilience, self-motivation, and ability to hit targets.
- Strategic thinker who can translate market insight into winning proposals.
- Proven ability to manage a pipeline, forecast, and report on sales metrics.
