36 Hours Per Week – Fully Site Based (Please note you may have to travel occasionally to other locations as per project needs)
The Role
In this role, you will manage projects from concept design through to completion, delivering accurate cost plans, managing budgets, and ensuring financial and contractual excellence. You will act as the main client contact, ensuring project objectives are met through robust and value focused cost management.
Main Responsibilities
- Day to Day duties Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors & Building Surveyors
- Liasing with Client Stakeholders
- Conduct preliminary research to evaluate contractors
- Produce regular cost reports
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts
- Carry out Site Visits and Inspections
- Manage procurement, including tender preparation, review, and contractor evaluation
- Prepare and administer interim valuations, contractors claims and settlement of final accounts.
- Prepare contract variations and review with senior staff
- Support senior team in maintaining high-quality service delivery
- Manage and take ownership of estimating and cost planning activities, to include presenting the final cost plan including developing whole life cycle cost models
- Manage the procurement process, ensuring that all stages, including pre-qualification, Bills of Quantities, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively
- Ensure that project cost variances and change control processes are effectively and pro-actively managed
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget, with effective change control and cost monitoring
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations

Experience/Qualifications
- All candidates MUST be Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline with strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- 5 years PQE or MRICS Qualified
- Good Budgeting, financial and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client stakeholder management skills
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of Project Delivery
