Hiring: Commercial Manager
Location: Portsmouth (60% Onsite)
Contract: 6 Months
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading organisation within the Defence and Space sector, supporting complex contracts and commercial activities across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial support for complex bids and proposals.
- Manage contracts valued up to hundreds of millions.
- Lead contractual negotiations and manage contract changes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, engineering, sales, and project teams.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide commercial guidance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, governance, and company procedures.
- Drive commercial best practices and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in customer-facing and competitive bid environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Defence industry experience.
- Understanding of project, financial, and risk management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
