Are you ready to step into a highly influential commercial role at the heart of our UK Debt Purchase business here at Cabot Credit Management? We’re looking for a Commercial Manager who can blend strong analytical capability with confident stakeholder engagement to help shape, negotiate and deliver new debt purchase opportunities. This is a unique opportunity within a niche and fast‑paced industry - partnering with vendors, intermediaries and a wide range of internal stakeholders and specialists across pricing, contracts, due diligence, finance and operations. You’ll play a key role in sourcing and executing acquisitions, managing key client relationships, and ensuring newly purchased portfolios perform in line with our commitments. If you bring solid commercial experience, strong analytical skills, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to influence and negotiate, you’ll be well‑placed to succeed and grow within this role! What you can expect as a Commercial Manager: Permanent Willingness to travel to our Kings Hill (Kent) or Cannon Street (London) office when required. Key responsibilities include: Build and maintain strong, multi‑level relationships with allocated clients, understanding their strategies and identifying debt sale opportunities. Source, negotiate and structure portfolio purchase opportunities, working closely with the Commercial Director, Head of Commercial and the wider Deals Team. Support the negotiation of sale and purchase agreements, collaborating with the Legal Team to ensure all key commercial terms are appropriately covered. Work with internal Operational Stakeholders to ensure newly acquired portfolios perform in line with pricing expectations, capturing and applying learnings to future acquisitions. Partner with Client Services and the External Services Management teams to ensure effective due diligence and smooth post‑sale processes for allocated clients. We are looking for someone with: Experience within a sales or commercial role with proven track record of sourcing and negotiating complex deals with single or multiple external stakeholders. Strong self-starter with exceptional self and social awareness and the ability to read and adjust to all situations. Strong people skills with the ability to build and develop relationships and networks. Comprehensive business understanding and acumen. Strong analytical skills. Customer and commercially focused. Negotiation and relationship management skills. Ability to work within a complex setting, both anticipating, responding to and leading changes. Strong personal and professional ethics, integrity, and standards. What happens next?
