Commercial Manager / Sales Manager

A leading SME food manufacturer / distributor is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager / Sales Manager to join the team. Site based with travel to customers as and when required, this role will be responsible for managing and growing the business through the development of new and existing customers, development and expansion of the supply base, as well as the identification of new markets.

Former experience selling to UK food manufactures down to small artisan producers will be deemed advantageous for this role.

Commercial Manager / Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Represent the Company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and customer needs
  • Generate leads, build and nurture client relationships both in terms of sales and procurement
  • Create and execute a strategic plan that expands customer base and extends global supply base
  • Meet with potential clients either face to face or via teams/zoom calls and grow long-lasting relationships
  • Research consumer needs and identify how our business offerings meet and exceed them
  • Have a working knowledge of SAP to enable day-to-day role is performed efficiently and effectively
  • Achieve company objectives and KPIs through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing performance data and projecting future performance
  • Monthly reporting on performance including monthly KPIs
  • Load planning and replenishment of UK stocks
  • Managing purchase and sales contracts
  • Effective use of SAP system, ensuring company guidelines are followed in relation to (but not exclusively) CRM, sales quotes, blanket agreements and activities.
