Job Description
Location: Cornwall
Type: Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing construction business delivering a diverse portfolio of residential, heritage, refurbishment, and new-build projects across Cornwall.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the management team.
- Take responsibility for the commercial performance of multiple projects.
- Oversee budgets, procurement, contract administration, valuations, variations, final accounts, and financial reporting.
- Support pre-construction activities.
- Mentor junior commercial team members.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or similar senior commercial professional.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and commercial management processes.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:
- Experience within construction management, D&B, or principal contractor environments.
- Knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Experience across residential, heritage, or mixed-use developments.
- RICS, CIOB membership or a similar professional body advantageous.
