Job Description

Ambitious People Realising Creative Logistics Solutions.

Where will you be working?

You will be joining Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, an international and leading logistics service provider for the chemical, gas, polymer, and food industries. Our family-owned company has been established since 1920, with safety and sustainability deeply embedded in our DNA.

Together with our customers and partners, we continuously develop smart logistics solutions that support an efficient and future-proof supply chain. With 54 locations across 27 countries, a global team of over 2,600 colleagues, and a modern fleet of 25,000 tank containers, 5,000 dry bulk containers and trailers, 575 tank trailers, and almost 900 trucks, we have everything in place to make an impact worldwide.

The Role

Are you a commercially driven sales professional with a passion for winning new business and building long-term customer relationships?

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to drive commercial growth across an assigned region within our Liquid Food business. This is a true business development role, focused on identifying new customers, securing new transport flows, and expanding our logistics network. Working closely with Pricing, Operations, and the wider commercial team, you'll help deliver profitable growth while becoming the commercial face of the business in your region.

This role is home-based with weekly travel to the offices in Stockton-on-Tees and Immingham.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across your assigned region.
  • Build strong relationships with Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Plant Managers.
  • Develop spot business opportunities and convert them into long-term customer partnerships.
  • Identify backhaul opportunities and complementary transport flows that improve network efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of commercial opportunities, supporting tenders and proposals where required.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and Pricing teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
  • Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to support regional growth plans.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
