Commercial Manager

A successful and growing manufacturer of technical products and safety systems is looking for a commercially focused Commercial Manager to help drive performance across its UK and international markets.

This is a broad and influential role, combining team leadership, customer engagement, and commercial management within a business that has built an enviable reputation for quality, innovation, and service.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, distributors, and colleagues alike - a natural relationship builder who can balance commercial discipline with a practical, hands-on approach.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take a leading role in the day-to-day running of the commercial function, supporting revenue growth while ensuring customers and partners continue to receive an outstanding experience.

  • Lead and develop the sales team
  • Strengthen relationships with distributors and key customers
  • Help ensure commercial opportunities are effectively managed and converted

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing the commercial team, supporting performance and continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with customers, distributors, and partners across UK and international markets.
  • Building strong relationships that support long-term business growth.
  • Managing commercial activity, sales forecasting, and pipeline development.
  • Supporting pricing, quotations, negotiations, and commercial decision-making.
  • Identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and emerging markets.
  • Working collaboratively with operational and support teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Helping shape commercial plans and priorities that support the company's future growth.

What We're Looking For

You may currently be operating as a:

  • Commercial Manager
  • Sales Manager
  • International Sales Manager
  • Export Sales Manager
  • Business Development Manager

You'll be commercially aware, customer-focused, and comfortable leading people while maintaining strong external relationships.

We're particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate experience of:

  • Technical, engineered, or safety-related products.
  • Distributor, channel partner, or international sales environments.
  • Developing customer relationships and growing key accounts.
  • Leading, coaching, or mentoring sales teams.
  • Managing sales pipelines, forecasts, and commercial performance.
  • Building credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders.

Experience within technical manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial automation, sensing technologies, electrical/electronic systems, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
