Job type: Fixed-term contract (14-month MAT Cover)

Location: Banbury, London, Cardiff, or Belfast – you will be contractually based in the office nearest to you with hybrid working.

Hybrid working: You will be able to work from home and come into the office to collaborate with your team(s) when required. We have flexible core hours, and we don’t believe in a culture of presenteeism. We will discuss what is important to you during the recruitment process.

Salary & Benefits: £46,500 + 10% pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 35-hour working week, up to 13 flexi-days, private medical insurance, life assurance, and much more!

The role

As our Commercial Manager you will lead and develop WRAP's commercial capability, ensuring the successful delivery of commercial agreements, contracts, and partnerships that maximise impact and income. Working closely with delivery teams and senior stakeholders, you'll provide commercial expertise across business development, contract management, risk, compliance, and stakeholder engagement while supporting the growth of new opportunities and strengthening commercial best practice across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial support for proposals, contracts, licences, and agreements, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and value for money.
  • Partner with delivery teams to identify, develop, and secure new funding and business opportunities through the Opportunity Realisation Process.
  • Provide commercial advice on pricing, negotiations, risk management, and contractual performance across programmes and projects.
  • Build strong relationships with funders, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support successful project delivery and commercial outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing commercial capability, sharing best practice, and contributing to reporting, pipeline management, and performance monitoring.

What are we looking for?

You Will Bring

  • Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions
  • Experience of business proposal/bid development as well as collaboration agreements and other legal documents.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to understand & manage complex third-party contractual relationships which have enabled business success.
  • Evidence of applying knowledge of contract law, with an understanding of the related areas of financial management and procurement processes
  • Strong team working skills, with high levels of self-motivation and flexible approach to work.
