Role Overview
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major UK food & drink business in an embedded, client-facing “implant” role. This position is ideal for a commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has strong stakeholder management skills, and enjoys driving projects from concept through to launch.
Working as part of a high-performing cross-functional team, you will take ownership of commercial activity across a key customer programme, helping to deliver profitable growth, strengthen collaboration, and ensure seamless execution across multiple stakeholders.
This is a fantastic role for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and can confidently operate at senior level.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial projects, ensuring that all activity progresses in line with agreed milestones, commercial KPIs and customer expectations.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate the critical path, manage launch readiness, and support the delivery of commercially successful outcomes.
- Play a key role in identifying cost optimisation opportunities, supporting new product set-up, preparing milestone materials, and ensuring that all documentation, forecasting and reporting are accurate, timely and auditable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
