Job Description

Role/Team Overview

Sky Mobile is growing fast – we hit 4 million customers recently and with strong continuous year on year growth, we have ambitious targets for the year ahead. We are looking for someone to take responsibility of developing a sales plan that will excite our customers, help grow our base and enable us to hit both our financial targets and market share ambitions.

This role sits in the Commercial team within Mobile Retentions, reporting to the Mobile Commercial Retention Lead. The team is key to the ongoing commercial success of the Sky Group’s Mobile business (optimising across volume and financial return) and works closely with colleagues in Trading, Routes to Market (RTM), Marketing, and Finance to ensure the ongoing strength of Sky Mobile customer base and P&L.

We operate in a fast-paced, dynamic industry as a challenger against traditional MNOs. This role rewards creative, agile thinking; the tenacity to disrupt the status quo, and to relentlessly approach forward-thinking initiatives. The Commercial team is responsible for activity from strategic inception through to delivery, so is truly empowered and takes a strong sense of accountability towards Sky Mobile’s performance from both a growth and financial perspective.

The Commercial Manager – Mobile Retention is responsible for driving Mobile retention performance, delivering commercial strategy from ideation through execution, and ensuring Sky retains and grows value from its Mobile base.

This role will support and lead on high-profile initiatives (e.g. PINC), shaping retention strategy, launching new campaigns and offers, and translating complex performance data into clear, senior-level narratives that influence decision-making across Connectivity.

What you’ll do

  • Own retention offer strategy and roadmap, including development, business casing, financial sign-off, and execution of new offer laydowns.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear, deliverable plans, ensuring initiatives land on time and perform against agreed business cases.
  • Produce and present clear, compelling performance narratives for senior stakeholders up to MD level.
  • Lead the ideation, launch and optimisation of new Mobile Retention campaigns.
  • Continuously improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness through test-and-learn and performance analysis.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment, buy-in and clarity on priorities, risks and outcomes.
  • Own advisor and operational briefings for high-impact initiatives, ensuring customer needs and operational realities are fully reflected.
  • Build robust commercial and financial business cases for new retention initiatives, securing finance and leadership sign-off.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
