At Media 10, we do things differently. We’re the UK’s most decorated events and publishing company, delivering iconic, award-winning experiences across design, interiors, lifestyle and construction. We’re passionate, we’re creative, and we believe in making work as exciting as the experiences we produce.

The Ideal Home Show is the longest-running consumer exhibition in the world, a flagship of innovation, design, and lifestyle for the modern home. With a brand that continues to grow in scope and prestige, we’re looking for a commercially savvy, entrepreneurial Commercial Manager to drive revenue, grow partnerships, and lead from the front.

The Role

As Commercial Manager on a brand-new edition of this iconic event, you’ll have a hand in shaping the next hundred years of the Ideal Home Show, by leading the sales team and creating a unique proposition in the Midlands.

You’ll have responsibility for both sponsorship and stand agreements, inclusive of high-profile activations and experiential deals, but also filling the show floor with relevant exciting brands, worthy of a historic launch.

Working closely with the Commercial and Event Director, as well as the wider, marketing, content and operations teams, you’ll ensure each client has a smooth and rewarding experience, from first conversation to on-site delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach and mentor a commercial sales team, driving a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance and provide regular coaching to maximise individual and team sales results.
  • Lead by example through the management and conversion of key strategic sponsorship and exhibition opportunities across the Ideal Home Show portfolio.
  • Develop and oversee a strong pipeline of sponsorship, partnership and exhibition opportunities, ensuring consistent sales activity and accurate forecasting across the team.
  • Support the team in creating compelling, commercially focused proposals that align with client objectives and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct regular one-to-ones, pipeline reviews and performance meetings, identifying development opportunities and implementing tailored coaching plans.
  • Work closely with content, marketing and operations teams to create innovative commercial products and ensure exceptional client delivery.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, pricing and floorplan strategy to drive revenue growth and improve commercial effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, attending networking events and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Produce regular sales reports and pipeline analysis reporting to the Commercial Director.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
