Commercial Manager
Commercial Manager – Swindon Town F.C.
Location: Swindon Town Football Club
We are seeking an ambitious, proactive, and commercially driven Commercial Manager to join our football club and play a central role in driving commercial growth through sponsorships, partnerships, hospitality, advertising, and events.
This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility for overseeing all commercial activities to ensure business success and exemplary service delivery to partners and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Lead the Club’s commercial sales strategy to achieve sponsorship and revenue targets.
- Identify, develop, and secure new sponsorships, partnerships, and advertising opportunities across all Club assets.
- Manage and grow a strong network of prospective partners through networking, relationship management, and business development.
- Develop bespoke commercial proposals and partnership packages tailored to client objectives.
Relationship & Retention Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with sponsors, corporate partners, and hospitality clients to maximise retention and repeat business.
- Represent the Club professionally at industry events, networking opportunities, and matchday functions.

Operations & Delivery
- Oversee all seasonal and matchday hospitality operations, ensuring a first-class customer experience for guests and partners.
- Collaborate with marketing, catering, security, and operations teams for seamless service delivery.
Strategy & Marketing Support
- Design and deliver an annual events programme.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and commercial performance data to uncover revenue opportunities.
- Support the CEO in shaping and implementing the Club’s wider commercial and business development strategy.
- Ensure all actions reflect and enhance the Club’s brand identity, values, and reputation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience within professional football, preferably at EFL League Two level or above.
- Proven track record in sponsorship sales, partnership management, and achieving targets.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Valid driving licence (essential for attendance at matchdays and external events).
