Commercial Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a renowned tier 1 main contractor based near Reading. The business is privately owned and turns over in excess of £1bn, working across the public and private sectors. They undertake projects across education and further education, MOJ, defence, commercial, and life sciences valuing from £30mil - £100mil+.
The business unit in the South has continued to go from strength to strength, and with a number of successfully secured schemes in the region, they're now looking to expand the leadership team with an additional Commercial Manager.
About the role of Commercial Manager:
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently which could either be in pre-construction or live on site. You will be responsible for managing project teams and will be reporting into the Regional Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Commercial Manager:
- Heavy involvement in bidding / work-winning
- Overseeing project procurement
- Overseeing CVRs and reporting upstream
- Involvement with any contractual disputes
- Management and developing of commercial team including appraisals
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Key requirements for this Commercial Manager role:
- Proven track record of overseeing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Framework experience is highly beneficial
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Must live within commutable distance to Reading
- Must have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to undergo SC Clearance should your role require it.
