Commercial Manager | Birmingham (Hybrid) | £60k-£65k + Bonus

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-driven business operating within the fleet, fuel and mobility sector. With ambitious growth plans, a strong commercial culture and major investment into AI and innovation, they are looking for a commercially minded Head of Partnerships to help drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

This is a commercially focused role at the heart of a fast-growing business, supporting sales strategy, customer growth and commercial performance. You’ll play a key role in developing bids, supporting negotiations and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve profitability. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial judgement with the ability to use data and insight to influence decision-making and build compelling customer propositions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development of commercial strategies, bids and customer proposals using market, customer and performance insights
  • Provide analysis and insight to strengthen negotiations, pricing discussions and supplier conversations
  • Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities across the customer portfolio and support account growth plans
  • Support forecasting, revenue planning and profitability discussions
  • Develop reporting and insights that enable better commercial decisions across the business
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners and suppliers throughout the bid and negotiation process

Your Experience

We’re looking for a commercially minded professional who understands how to use data, insight and market knowledge to support sales growth and commercial success. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience in a commercial, sales, merchandising, account management or business development environment
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, negotiations or commercial proposals
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of revenue, margin and profitability drivers
  • Confidence using data and insight to influence decisions and support customer conversations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, operations and leadership stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret commercial performance information
