We are seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management and administration of a major NEC4 facilities management contract valued at approximately £110 million annually.

The successful candidate will provide commercial stewardship of the client account, ensuring effective contract governance, compliance, and performance management across both Hard and Soft FM services.

Job Description

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will lead contract administration activities, manage contractual change processes, support financial performance monitoring, and utilise Fast Draft contract management software to maintain robust commercial controls and reporting.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, NEC4 expertise, and the ability to drive service improvements through data-led insights and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management and administration of the NEC4 client account.
  • Develop, maintain and control commercial processes in line with agreed contractual requirements and governance frameworks.
  • Manage contract documentation, communications and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit contractual notices, change requests, variations and claims as required.
  • Utilise Fast Draft software to manage contract data, track obligations and generate commercial reports and analysis.
  • Support financial monitoring activities, including budgets, forecasts, cost estimates and the commercial impact of contract variations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and client stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractual compliance, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and recommend appropriate mitigation or improvement actions.

About You

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial contract management, ideally within Facilities Management or Construction.
  • Familiarity with the NEC contract framework and its management.
  • Proficient user of contract management software (e.g. Fast Draft).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, plus excellent organisational & analytical skills with a proven ability to collate, assess and present commercial data and M&I, including reporting of commercial notices.
  • Able to effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders, reviewing and discussing commercial matters, including service performance and data trend information.
  • Able to analyse data and drive service improvements that enhance account performance and partnership outcomes.
  • Full UK Driving licence and flexibility to travel
  • Able to pass BPSS and CTC Clearance
  • Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) (desirable)
