Lead the Future of Commercial Fitness Sales
Are you a results-driven commercial leader with a proven track record in B2B sales? Do you thrive on building high-impact partnerships and uncovering new revenue streams? If so, this is your opportunity to shape and scale the commercial arm of a leading UK fitness retailer.
At Fitness Superstore, we’re looking for a Commercial Sales Development Manager to lead our commercial growth strategy – expanding our presence across corporate, public sector, hospitality, education, and wellness markets. With a national network of 10 high-performing retail stores as your foundation, you’ll develop new B2B channels, drive strategic outreach, and position our premium fitness equipment in front of the right clients.
Based at our Northampton Head Office, you’ll work cross-functionally with key leaders to ensure product, marketing, and sales strategies are fully aligned – and laser-focused on commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive B2B Growth: Develop and execute a robust commercial sales strategy targeting new and existing sectors including corporate wellness, hospitality, education, and government.
- Partnership Building: Establish and manage strategic relationships with key decision-makers – gyms, hotels, schools, corporates, and public institutions etc.
- Marketing & Outreach: Oversee targeted marketing campaigns with the Retail Marketing and Digital teams to engage B2B audiences and maximise ROI.
- Localised Lead Generation: Equip and empower store managers and sales staff with the mindset, tools, and strategies to generate commercial leads within their regions.
- Product Strategy: Own the commercial product portfolio – ensuring our offering remains high-ticket, durable, innovative, and tailored to professional environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders across product development, marketing, retail, and operations to align commercial goals.
- Supplier Management: Negotiate strategic/commercial terms with suppliers and explore new categories to expand our B2B product range.
- Performance Reporting: Present regular commercial updates and strategic plans to senior management and key stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
