Commercial Manager Location: Hybrid Working (Midlands-based with travel to operational sites as required) Salary: £65k + car allowance and bonus
About the Rol eAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading organisation specialising in high value logistics and manufacturing. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with operational and business development teams to drive growth, manage risk, and maximise contract performance
. You will play a key role throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from supporting new business opportunities and bid activity through to contract negotiation, delivery support, and contract close-out. The successful candidate will provide pragmatic commercial guidance, develop robust contractual arrangements, and help ensure profitable and sustainable business growt
h. Key Responsibilit iesProvide commercial leadership and support throughout the sales, bid, contract delivery, and renewal process es.Lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of customer contracts and commercial agreemen ts.Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and operational risks across customer and supplier contrac ts.Support business development teams with new business opportunities, tenders, and customer negotiatio ns.Partner with operational and account management teams to maximise contract profitability and performan ce.Build strong relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of their commercial objectiv es.Conduct ongoing reviews of contractual arrangements to ensure they accurately reflect business activity and deliver maximum commercial benef it.Work closely with legal colleagues to ensure contracts are robust, enforceable, and aligned with business objectiv es.Support the resolution of customer disputes, claims, and contractual issu es.Collaborate with procurement teams on supplier negotiations and contract flow-down requiremen ts.Contribute to wider business initiatives including risk management, compliance, sustainability, and governance projec ts.Promote best practice in commercial management, negotiation, and customer engagement across the organisati
