Since 2021, NAPA Racing UK has been at the forefront of UK motorsport; however, the NAPA name has enjoyed over 100 years of automotive heritage. NAPA has been a consistent presence in American motorsport, racing and has achieved success in the biggest formulas. Competing at the top tier of motorsport, NAPA’s blue and yellow cars have raced in world-renowned series, including NASCAR, IndyCar and Sprint Racing. NAPA entered the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with the multiple race-winners Alliance Racing, creating NAPA Racing UK, and now stands as the team to beat since winning multiple championships across the MINI Challenge, British Truck Racing and BTCC. Following the success of NAPA Racing UK, an exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the commercial growth and brand development of one of the UK’s leading motorsport programmes. The Commercial Marketing Manager will hold senior leadership responsibility for the race programme’s marketing and commercial strategy, overseeing the Brand Manager and Marketing Executive to drive growth across sponsorship, merchandising, events, and wider brand presence. This role is hands-on and commercially focused, playing a key part in steering the programme’s marketing plans and revenue streams as we enter our third year. Please note the role requires availability at all race weekends across the racing calendar. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Planning Lead the development and execution of NAPA Racing UK’s marketing plans across all platforms, ensuring integration of commercial and brand strategies. Lead Generation Identify and develop sponsorship and revenue generation opportunities throughout the calendar year, leveraging insights from across the team. IP Protection Oversee protection and management of the NAPA Racing UK IP, ensuring consistent and compliant use to safeguard brand value. Sponsorship Management Act as the main point of contact for sponsors, managing relationships, activations, and contracts to maximize value and satisfaction. Events Oversee race weekend operations from a commercial standpoint, ensuring smooth delivery of activations (Minimum of 10 race weekends) Identify and propose additional commercial event opportunities to support brand and merchandise growth. Merchandise Product Management Lead merchandise ordering, stock management, and explore new product opportunities to expand the brand’s reach and revenue. Reporting Provide comprehensive reporting on commercial performance including sponsorship ROI and merchandise sales to senior stakeholders. Line Management Line manage the Brand Manager and Marketing Executive, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives. Budget Management Oversee management of the NAPA Racing commercial budget, driving revenue generation and cost efficiency. Trademarks Take overall ownership of the governance and management of the NAPA Racing trademarks. Not the right fit?
