Commercial Officer
Job Title: Commercial Officer
Working Location: Bristol / Hybrid
About the Role
We are looking for a Commercial Officer who can demonstrate:
- Relationship building and influence across the organisation
- Analytical skills to understand the business and commercial deals
- Sound business judgement to balance risk and reward across diverse customers
- Articulation and confidence in ambiguous or challenging scenarios
- Willingness to learn and adapt
You’ll have the ability to shape contractual solutions, negotiate effectively, and provide trusted commercial guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Development & Negotiation
- Empower capture teams to win better business by crafting accurate, innovative, and timely contract proposals
- Draft and negotiate commercial terms with customers using proven strategies
- Engage the right subject matter experts for workplace challenges
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify potential risks and liabilities within proposals and contracts
- Implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Instruct and administer business agreements, providing trusted advice to clients and ensuring alignment with Rolls-Royce and customer obligations

Skills & Experience
We’re looking for applicants who embody our core values of safety, ethics and impact:
- Strong commercial acumen, able to analyse and influence deals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for clear verbal/written interaction
- Ability to collaborate in team environments and work with diverse stakeholders
- The ability to think strategically & tactically when designing contractual solutions
Advantageous (but not mandatory):
- Previous experience in commercial or contracting roles
