Commercial Officer

Job Title: Commercial Officer

Working Location: Bristol / Hybrid


About the Role

We are looking for a Commercial Officer who can demonstrate:

  • Relationship building and influence across the organisation
  • Analytical skills to understand the business and commercial deals
  • Sound business judgement to balance risk and reward across diverse customers
  • Articulation and confidence in ambiguous or challenging scenarios
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

You’ll have the ability to shape contractual solutions, negotiate effectively, and provide trusted commercial guidance.


Key Responsibilities

Contract Development & Negotiation

  • Empower capture teams to win better business by crafting accurate, innovative, and timely contract proposals
  • Draft and negotiate commercial terms with customers using proven strategies
  • Engage the right subject matter experts for workplace challenges

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify potential risks and liabilities within proposals and contracts
  • Implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Instruct and administer business agreements, providing trusted advice to clients and ensuring alignment with Rolls-Royce and customer obligations

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to collaborate in team environments and work with diverse stakeholders
  • The ability to think strategically & tactically when designing contractual solutions

Advantageous (but not mandatory):

  • Previous experience in commercial or contracting roles
