About Equilibrium and associated companies
Equilibrium is a privately owned group operating across healthcare, recruitment and investment activities.
We’re looking for a commercially minded and highly organised individual to work directly with the Commercial Director, supporting the delivery of commercial, operational and strategic priorities across the Group.
This is a broad, hands-on role requiring strong judgement, financial confidence and the ability to turn priorities into clear actions and delivered outcomes.
Healthcare experience is not essential. The role will suit someone comfortable working across different business areas, managing competing priorities and operating with a good level of independence.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and coordinate commercial, operational and business improvement projects across the Group.
- Turn strategic priorities into clear actions, timelines, trackers and deliverables.
- Track progress, identify blockers and ensure actions are complete.
- Work with financial models, commercial reports and business information to support decision-making.
- Prepare clear summaries and updates for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate board packs, governance reporting and key documentation.
- Support restructuring, process improvement, system implementation and contract projects.
- Improve internal processes, reporting and operational controls.
- Take ownership of projects that cross departmental boundaries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
