About JP Rentals JP Rentals, part of the Jarvie Plant Group, provides high-quality vehicle hire solutions across Scotland and the North of England. Our team ensures clients receive reliable, safe, and well-maintained vehicles, from initial contact to delivery, maintenance, and return.


About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Commercial Operations Manager to lead our multi-depot operations, drive efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer service. This role is central to supporting the delivery of our hire solutions by optimising service delivery, fleet performance, and team development.


Key Responsibilities

As our JPR Commercial Operations Manager, your role will include:

  • Leadership & Operations Management

    • Managing multi-depot operations to ensure consistent, safe, and compliant workflows.
    • Developing and motivating depot teams to improve performance and accountability.
  • Fleet & Performance Optimisation

    • Maximising vehicle uptime and residual value while improving fleet utilisation.
    • Analysing financial performance, controlling budgets, and identifying operational efficiency opportunities.

Requirements

Essential skills & experience:

✔ Proven experience in operational, fleet, or logistics management, ideally across multiple sites. ✔ Strong leadership and people management skills. ✔ Commercial awareness, including budget management and performance analytics. ✔ Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational business systems. ✔ Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations.

Desirable:

  • Experience implementing operational innovations or sustainability initiatives.
  • Problem-solving and digital transformation expertise.
