Commercial Performance & Risk Lead
Location: Remote (with weekly travel to Milton Keynes) Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on experience

About the Role
Are you a commercially astute professional with a passion for performance, risk control, and value protection? We are looking for a Commercial Performance & Risk Lead to take ownership of commercial integrity and performance across a key strategic account.
This is a high-impact role, where you will:
- Ensure services are delivered, measured, and paid at the right value
- Protect margin and financial expectations
- Mitigate risk across the full supply chain lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement
The Role
As Commercial Performance & Risk Lead, you will become accountable for end-to-end commercial control across the Santander account, spanning:
- KPI performance and service credit exposure
- Supplier lifecycle management and billing accuracy
- Contitional alignment with commercial terms, performance outcomes, and financial integrity
You will act as a key interface between Operations, Finance, Procurement, and the client, ensuring data, delivery, and commercial insight eliminates risk and protects value.
Key Responsibilities
1. KPI Performance & Client Positioning
- Own and lead the commercial interpretation of KPIs across all service lines
- Drive performance improvement and defend KPI exposure
- Ensure KPI positions are evidence-based, contractually robust, and aligned with CAFM data
- Proactively prevent KPI failures through intervention and insight

2. Service Credit & Risk Management
- Take full ownership of service credit exposure and mitigation
- Ensure credits are accurate, contractually aligned, and fairly attributed
- Lead client negotiations and challenges relating to service credits
3. Supply Chain Lifecycle Control
- Oversee the full lifecycle: procurement → delivery → performance → billing → payment
- Ensure alignment with procurement strategy, contractual terms, and operational delivery
- Act as account lead for supplier onboarding and PSL management
- Manage escalations, supplier issues, and performance-related risks
4. Invoice & Value Assurance
- Ensure purchase orders reflect the correct scope, pricing, and outcomes
- Validate alignment between CAFM data, supplier activity, and billing
- Work closely with Finance to protect margin and ensure revenue recovery
5. Commercial Continuity & Renewals
- Lead supplier contract renewals, rate reviews, and pricing adjustments
- Ensure commercial terms remain competitive, consistent, and value-driven
- Support procurement strategies, including retenders and supplier selection
6. Supply Chain Performance Management
- Maintain control across all supplier tiers (strategic to transactional)
- Drive KPI performance, pricing compliance, and commercial accountability
7. Risk & Value Protection
- Maintain visibility of KPI volatility, supplier risks, and financial leakage
- Act as escalation point for billing issues, non-compliance, and performance concerns
- Protect revenue integrity, margins, and contractual compliance

About You
We are seeking a commercially focused professional with a strong mindset around control, detail, and accountability.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM)
- Proven experience with KPI/SLA frameworks and service credit regimes
- Solid knowledge of supply chain commercial lifecycle and invoice validation
- Awareness of CAFM/CMMS systems and data alignment
Skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and eliminate value leakage
- Advanced analytical capability with a detail-oriented approach
- Experience managing multi-tier supply chains
- Confidence in client-facing negotiations and challenging conversations
