đ About The Role
We are hiring a Commercial Planning Manager for our Parcels Planning team, where youâll shape forecasting, budgeting, and trade planning with data-driven methodologies.
Core Responsibilities
- Design & implement budgeting, rolling forecasts, latest estimates, and scenario planning frameworks.
- Work with data scientists and analytics teams to ensure statistically robust, commercially actionable plans.
- Own foresight and partnerships across Commercial Leaders, Logistics, Finance, and Country teams to align on demand, revenue, margins, and growth targets.
- Transform planning from manual methods into a faster, AI-assisted, and scalable systemâscaling beyond Excel dependencies.
- Leverage AI to:
- Improve forecast accuracy without compromising human judgment.
- Validate assumptions.
- Automate variance analysis.
- Generate explanatory insights.
- Speed up cycle times.
- Oversee monthly forecasting cycles (budgeting, recasting,olat-level estimates) and commercial deep dives into demand, margins, pricing, and customer behavior.
- Enhance decision-making forums and data storytelling for leadership clarity.

â Redesign budget & forecasting tools with AI automation, better data structures, and smarter workflows.
â Apply AI/ML to:
- Increase forecast accuracy.
- Automate repetitive reviews.
- Optimize forecast updates.
- Improve scenarios, var analysis, and reporting.
â Drive commercial transformation by:
- Shifting from fragmented planning to scalable, cross-functional forecasts.
- Ensuring accuracy, dissolve debates over data, and drive action.
â Lead commercial planning for Parcels business, covering:
- Managerial budgets.
- M+4, M+8 forecast cycles.
- Dynamic re-forecasting.
- Metrics-driven risk exposure across regions, segments, and trends.
â Collaborate with:
- Finance teams to ensure commercially grounded financial models.
- Commercial leaders on market performance, sales trends, pricing dynamics.
đŻ Requirements
Experience & Expertise
â 3-5+ years in commercial planning, budgeting, demand planning, trading, forecasting, or business strategy.
â Deep experience in:
- Designing/improving Large-scale statistical forecasting models.
- Time series forecasting.
- Regression and demand modelling.
- Identifying seasonality, trends, and sales patterns.
- Validating forecasts with metrics (MAPE, WAPE, RMSE, bias-assessment techniques).
â Proven work with AI
- Use of AI (ChaptGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to:
- Enhance Forecast accuracy.
- Automate manual tasks (e.g., assumptions checking).
- Generate scenario analysis.
- Ability to communicate AIâs limitations and governance in planning.
â Technical skills: Excel/Python, BI tools (Looker, SQL, Apps Script), Google Sheets proficiency.
â Soft skills:
- Commercial acumen: connect numbers to actionable business impact.
- Stakeholder navigation: liaise across Finance, Data, Logistics, Commercial, and regional teams.
- A structured, virtuous mindset: distill complexity into clear actionable plans.
