Commercial Pricing & Procurement Executive
Job Title: Commercial Pricing & Procurement Executive Location: London, United Kingdom (On-site)
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Pricing & Procurement Executive to support our international trading and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in freight procurement, logistics pricing, or supply chain operations, along with a strong network of freight forwarders and logistics providers. The role requires exceptional negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to secure the most competitive freight rates while ensuring reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate freight quotations from freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport companies, and logistics providers. Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and key logistics partners across the UK and international markets. Secure the most competitive pricing while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency. Manage freight tenders, RFQs, and commercial negotiations with logistics vendors. Monitor freight market trends, carrier rates, surcharges, and transportation costs to identify cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate with commercial, procurement, and operations teams to support pricing and shipment requirements. Analyze logistics costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability and supply chain efficiency. Maintain freight contracts, rate agreements, and pricing databases. Track vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed service levels. Support import/export logistics activities and resolve freight-related challenges as needed.

Requirements Minimum 5+ years of experience in freight procurement, logistics pricing, supply chain, or commercial operations. Strong network and established relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics service providers. Proven track record of negotiating competitive freight rates and commercial agreements. Strong understanding of international shipping, freight forwarding, import/export processes, and logistics operations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercial mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Industry Experience Recycling, metals, commodities, manufacturing, or international trading sectors. Experience managing ocean freight, road freight, rail freight, and multimodal transportation.
Qualification Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
