Commercial Print Sales Specialist

Location

We offer Choice-Based Working, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You'll have access to our Konica Minolta and Regus offices nationwide, while occasional travel will be required based on business needs.

Role Overview

As the next Commercial Print Sales Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving growth within the Professional Print market, specialising in Standard Accounts (typically customers with a turnover below £2.5m).

The role focuses on:

  • Proactive account development
  • New logo acquisition
  • Retaining existing customers
  • Delivering profitable growth in hardware, software, workflow, and services for Konica Minolta’s Professional Print portfolio

You’ll collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Pre-Sales, Service, Operations) to identify, develop, and close opportunities that align with customer business objectives and Konica Minolta’s strategic priorities.

The position is quota-bearing, prioritising new business growth while also supporting existing accounts. Your OTE is commission-based, calculated on your performance against sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Drive Professional Print Hardware & Solutions Sales Growth

  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, GP, unit and solutions targets across the portfolio.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Standard Accounts segment.
  • Grow customer loyalty through proactive engagement and account management.
  • Position and sell entry, light, and mid-production print solutions, including:
    • Hardware
    • Workflow optimisation
    • Software
    • Finishing & colour management services
  • Utilise consultative sales methodology (IGNITE Discovery) to uncover customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Service, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding.

2. New Logo Business Development

  • Proactively identify and secure new customers in the Commercial Print sector.
  • Develop territory and account plans aligned with strategic growth priorities.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting, including networking, social selling, and event engagement.
  • Collaborate with SDR, Marketing, and Demand Generation teams to nurture leads.
  • Promote Konica Minolta’s Client Engagement Centre and co-creation approach.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers (company owners, directors, production managers).
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging technologies.

3. Customer Relationship & Account Development

  • Act as a trusted advisor, delivering value-led solutions.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer expectations effectively throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Service teams to enhance satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Foster long-term strategic partnerships focused on business growth and operational efficiency.

4. Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with company governance, approvals, and commercial controls.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Deliver comprehensive reporting within deadlines.
  • Validate that opportunities are commercially viable and profitable.
  • Maintain high documentation and proposal standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential

You’ll bring:

  • Proven professional print sales experience in the Commercial Print sector
  • Deep understanding of Commercial Print production environments and customer workflows
  • Knowledge of Professional Print hardware, finishing, and workflow solutions, including:
    • Short-run digital print
    • Variable data printing
    • Direct mail
    • Finishing workflows
  • Strong consultative and value-based selling skills
  • Ability to develop and present commercial proposals
  • Relationship management and negotiation expertise
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales reporting systems
  • Strong organisational, pipeline, and forecasting skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Commercially minded with a strong financial mindset
  • Self-driven with a growth mentality and personal accountability
  • Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence
