Commercial Project Manager
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for the financial and commercial integrity of assigned projects. Your primary focus will be on:
- Ensuring projects are executed profitably and in full compliance with financial guidelines and contractual requirements.
- Overseeing financial planning, execution, and control from project inception to completion.
- Serving as the main commercial point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and professionally resolving commercial issues.
How You’ll Make an Impact

SAP Management:
- Build sales orders and set up projects in the SAP system.
- Manage project configurations, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes.

Financial and Commercial Leadership:
- Maintain and control project costs to align with budget targets.
- Monitor payment securities, tax implications, and insurance requirements.
- Handle revenue recognition and customer invoicing according to payment terms.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Conduct financial forecasting and analyze project performance.
- Identify deviations, explaining trends via key financial metrics to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present KPI reports for business evaluations.

Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure the accuracy of project records in line with IFRS, local GAAP, or other financial frameworks.
- Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests.

- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary commercial liaison for clients and external partners.
What You Bring

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, International Business, or a related financial discipline.
- Proven project accounting and commercial controlling experience in a corporate role.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP (highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of commercial and contractual obligations.

Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication abilities and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

Certifications (preferred):
- IPMA (International Project Management Association) or equivalent accreditations.
- CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) or ACCA.

Tools & Systems:
- Expertise in SAP, ACC, Project Dash, and iTWO.
