Associate / Senior Associate – Commercial Property (5 PQE+)

Farleys Solicitors is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Associate or Senior Associate (5 PQE+) to join our established and growing team in Preston. This is a key opportunity for a talented lawyer who wants to take the next step in their career within a respected regional firm that combines local heritage with the strength of a national legal group.

About The Role

You will handle a high-quality and varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, development projects, secured lending, and portfolio management. You will work closely with a supportive team of specialists while also having the autonomy to manage your own files and client relationships.

The role offers genuine progression potential, with the opportunity to contribute to business development, mentor junior colleagues, and play an active part in the continued growth of the Preston office.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
