Senior Commercial Property Management Surveyor

Location: Litton Property, Bakewell, Derbyshire Salary: Competitive Salary (circa £35,000–£40,000) + Bonus + Benefits

Litton Properties are a successful and expanding private property development and management company based in Bakewell, Derbyshire. They manage and develop a diverse commercial property portfolio, delivering best-in-class services to their occupiers through an in-house asset management approach.

Macdonald & Company have been engaged to assist Litton Properties in recruiting a Commercial Property Management Surveyor to support the Asset Management Director. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded property professional passionate about variety, responsibility, and driving occupier satisfaction and asset performance.


The Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing asset management initiatives, lettings, lease renewals, and rent reviews
  • Negotiating Heads of Terms with tenants, agents, and solicitors
  • Managing day-to-day occupier relationships to ensure client satisfaction
  • Conducting property inspections, enforcing compliance, and coordinating maintenance
  • Administering service charges and managing tenant recharges
  • Leading contractor engagements and refurbishment projects
  • Supervising grounds maintenance and line-managing grounds staff
  • Supporting income growth, asset value enhancement, and void reduction strategies

About You

To excel in this critical role, we require:

  • MRICS qualification (or equivalent recognised commercial surveying accreditation such as FRICS)
  • Proven experience in commercial property management and/or asset management
  • Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, lease structures, and market trends
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Commercial acumen, practical problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently or collaboratively within a dynamic team
