Commercial Property Solicitor
Commercial Property Solicitor – Brighton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join a client’s team in their Brighton offices.
The role is based within the Commercial Property & Development team, ideal for a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in Commercial Property or Property Development.Whether new to practice (NQ Solicitors) or more experienced, candidates with the right attributes and mindset are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property and development matters, including:
- Acquisition and refinancing transactions
- Drafting and negotiating leases
- Development agreements
- Provide high-quality legal advice to clients on planning, construction, and financing within commercial property development.
- Draft and negotiate a range of legal documents, such as:
- Leases
- Sale and purchase agreements
- Overage agreements
- Promotion agreements
- Pre-emption agreements
- Development contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, developers, and other third parties.
- Stay informed about legislative changes and market trends to deliver innovative and relevant advice.
- Manage your own workload while supporting senior colleagues on complex issues.

Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent Chartered Legal Executive qualification).
- A positive and resilient attitude toward professional growth.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to continuous self-development.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercially astute, providing practical, solution-focused advice.
