The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join a growing and well established law firm in Leeds. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the continued development of the commercial property department whilst managing a broad and varied caseload of commercial property matters. Your workload will include acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, lease renewals, subleases, surrenders, landlord and tenant matters, business sales and purchases and the establishment of new businesses. You will have responsibility for matters from instruction through to completion, supported by a dedicated Paralegal or Trainee and modern case management systems. This is an excellent opportunity to take on genuine responsibility while helping to strengthen and grow an expanding department.

The Candidate

Applications are sought from Commercial Property Solicitors with a minimum of 6 years PQE or equivalent experience managing a broad commercial property caseload. You will be confident running files independently from instruction through to completion and possess strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial property transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent client care, organisational and communication skills, together with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively. Experience using case management systems would be advantageous. You will also be keen to support the development of junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued success and growth of the department.
