Commercial Property Senior Associate – 4-8 PQE – Birmingham City Centre – Up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

An outstanding opportunity for a Commercial Property Senior Associate to join a modern and ambitious team in Birmingham City Centre, offering high-quality work, significant client exposure and a genuine route towards future leadership within the practice.

This Commercial Property Senior Associate role in Birmingham City Centre forms part of a clear succession planning strategy following a partner retirement, creating a realistic opportunity to progress into a key senior position within a growing Commercial Property team.

As a Commercial Property Senior Associate in Birmingham City Centre, you will take a leading role on complex transactions, develop key client relationships and support the ongoing growth of the department, whilst benefiting from realistic billing expectations and a genuinely people-focused culture.

The Role:

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals and portfolio transactions
  • Advising on complex landlord and tenant matters, development projects and asset management work
  • Leading transactions from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision
  • Acting for developers, investors, occupiers and corporate clients across a range of sectors
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships whilst becoming a trusted advisor to key clients
  • Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors and trainees within the team
  • Working closely with the Partners on strategic client matters and business development initiatives
  • Playing an active role in the continued growth and future direction of the Commercial Property practice

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 4–8 years' PQE in Commercial Property
  • Strong technical experience across a broad range of commercial real estate matters
  • Confident handling complex transactions independently
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering commercial, pragmatic advice
  • Strong business development skills or a genuine interest in developing these capabilities
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers would be advantageous
  • Commercially aware, proactive and motivated by long-term career progression
  • Experience gained within a respected regional, national or boutique Commercial Property practice
