Account Management Technical Specialist – Advertising Bookings

Your Team: The Account Management team is the commercial engine room of our operations. We bridge the gap between sales ambition and flawless execution, ensuring our campaigns reach audiences across the UK through some of the world’s most iconic newsbrands.


Your role: You will be the technical gatekeeper for our booking systems. Ensuring the precise entry and maintenance of advertising data for The Sun, The Times, and our magazine portfolio, serving as the final checkpoint to guarantee all orders are compliant, complete and error-free.


Daily Responsibilities

You will:

  • Perform end-to-end processing of print and digital advertisement bookings within Salesforce and AdPoint.
  • Liaise with planners to:
    • Manage digital inventory levels
    • Process technical amendments
    • Ensure correct placement data
  • Audit daily booking intakes to verify all entries meet:
    • Strict technical specifications
    • Commercial compliance standards
  • Verify customer metadata and order specifications to maintain:
    • Data accuracy
    • Financial integrity
  • Process order payments and generate pro-forma invoices to resolve:
    • Transactional discrepancies for the Finance department
  • Compile high-volume weekly sales data and maintain:
    • Real-time dashboards
    • Revenue and volume metrics

What We’re Looking For

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • A meticulous approach to high-volume data entry, with a "zero-error" mindset ensuring technical integrity.
  • Exceptional ability to:
    • Manage heavy administrative workloads
    • Meet rigid daily deadlines for print and digital cycles.
  • Clear communication skills to:
    • Convey technical booking requirements
    • Report data discrepancies between Sales and Finance teams.
  • Technical expertise in:
    • Salesforce
    • AdPoint, or similar CRM/OMS systems for complex datasets management.
  • Methodical work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced, data-heavy environment.
