Commercial Lead
Sector: B2B media, publishing and events

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum OTE £50K+
About the Business
This role sits within a specialist B2B media and events business that provides digital, print and live-event platforms for professional audiences in PA, events, and hospitality-related sectors.
The business connects suppliers, service providers and commercial partners with highly engaged senior decision-makers through content, advertising, sponsorship and tailored event opportunities.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Professional to drive advertising, sponsorship and partnership revenue across a portfolio of media and event products.
This is a senior, hands-on sales role focused on new business development, revenue growth and account expansion.
The successful candidate will take ownership of sales targets, develop high-value client relationships and sell integrated media solutions across digital, print and events, working closely with editorial, marketing and events teams to deliver commercially successful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Own and deliver individual and portfolio-level sales targets across digital, print and event sponsorship.
- Proactively identify, pitch and close new business opportunities with suppliers, agencies and relevant industry partners.
- Develop tailored, multi-platform proposals that align client objectives with audience needs and commercial opportunities.

Account Growth & Relationship Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, with a focus on repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Upsell and cross-sell advertising, branded content, newsletter activity and event sponsorship opportunities.
- Act as a trusted commercial contact for senior client stakeholders.
Event & Sponsorship Sales
- Cross-sell within the portfolio to sell all relevant Forums & networking events.
- Secure sponsorships and partnerships that deliver clear ROI for clients and revenue growth for the business.
Collaboration & Campaign Delivery
- Work closely with editorial and marketing teams to shape commercially viable campaigns.
- Ensure smooth campaign delivery and strong client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve products, packages and sales materials based on client feedback.
Pipeline Management & Reporting

- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting through CRM.
- Track performance against KPIs and revenue targets.
- Provide regular sales updates and commercial insight to senior leadership.
Industry Engagement
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
- Build a strong personal network within relevant professional sectors.
Skills & Experience
- Proven success in senior B2B media sales, commercial partnerships or sponsorship sales roles.
- Strong track record of new business development and revenue growth.
- Experience selling integrated media solutions across digital, print and events.
- Confident negotiator with excellent presentation and closing skills.
- Commercially focused, target-driven and self-motivated.
- CRM and pipeline management experience.
