About The Role
As a Commercial Solicitor (Professional Support) based in Oxfordshire, you will join a leading team in a hybrid remote, full-time role. Your primary function is to bolster knowledge management, legal innovation, and technical excellence across the firm. You will work closely with fee earners, monitoring legal and regulatory developments, producing thought leadership articles, and delivering technical training. Supporting complex legal research and maintaining precedents are also key duties. This position offers a salary between £60,000 and £70,000, dependent on experience, and requires at least five years of PQE. Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills are essential for success.

The Role
Working closely with fee earners across a broad commercial practice, you will play a key role in supporting legal knowledge, technical excellence and innovation. Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments
- Producing thought leadership articles
- Delivering technical training
- Assisting with complex legal research
- Developing and maintaining precedents and template documents
- Supporting business development initiatives
You will also help drive best practice across the team, ensuring lawyers have access to up-to-date resources and practical guidance.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with a minimum of 5 years' PQE and strong experience across commercial law. You will possess:
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Exceptional drafting and research skills
- The ability to communicate complex legal developments clearly and effectively
Experience in one or more areas including commercial contracts, IT, data protection, franchising, infrastructure, transport or regulatory work would be advantageous, while knowledge of financial services regulation or intellectual property would be beneficial. The successful candidate will enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to the continuous development of a successful national team.
