The Recipe (About the Role)

The Commercial Strategy & Execution Controller plays a critical role in shaping and delivering our go-to-market strategy, ensuring commercial excellence and maximising return on trade investment. Owning teams across Revenue Management, Shopper Insight and Commercial Operations, you'll drive sustainable, profitable growth while creating the conditions for successful execution across the business.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, you'll own key processes including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), trade investment governance and commercial performance management. You'll also help advance our commercial capability through technology-enabled forecasting, digital revenue management tools and simplified ways of working, ensuring we continue to win with customers today and in the future.

  • Develop and deliver go-to-market plans that help our commercial, category and brand targets, ensuring strong and consistent execution across all customers and channels
  • Translate commercial strategy into clear execution plans, driving delivery at pace while maintaining accountability, governance and transparency
  • Maximise return on investment by embedding robust processes aligned to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements
  • Own the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, including annual planning, and optimise demand opportunities within supply and manufacturing constraints
  • Partner with Sales to build compelling, insight-led customer stories (including Consumer Price Increase (CPI) proposals and promotional strategies) aligned to our commercial direction
  • Drive profitable growth through pricing, mix and pack strategies, improving net revenue realisation and delivering targeted Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) outcomes
  • Enhance shopper marketing and retail media effectiveness, ensuring activity delivers measurable category growth and stronger return on investment
  • Create and embed a 1-3 year revenue management strategy, including clear frameworks, guardrails and capability development across the business
  • Strengthen cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category and Supply to deliver a fully integrated go-to-market approach
  • Own continuous improvement and digital transformation, including implementation of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) tools, to enhance decision-making, reporting and execution efficiency

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
