Mission:
The Commercial Strategy & Insights Manager – Services plays a key role within the Services Marketing team, strengthening commercial visibility, insight generation, and data-led decision-making.
The role supports the identification of growth opportunities and enables more effective commercial planning by providing clear, actionable insights and coordinating cross-functional input across Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Reporting & Performance Management
- Develop and maintain commercial reporting across key areas of the Services business (e.g. revenue, margin, mix, pipeline, performance vs. plan)
- Ensure reporting is clear, consistent, and supports leadership decision-making
- Continuously improve reporting tools, dashboards, and processes to enhance visibility and speed of insight
- Align reporting with existing marketing and sales performance frameworks
Insight Generation & Market Analysis
- Generate commercial and market insights through data analysis, customer intelligence, and external inputs
- Translate complex data into clear recommendations to inform strategic and tactical decisions
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across customers, segments, channels, and service offers
- Work in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Segment teams to validate and refine insights
Market & Customer Understanding
- Contribute to building a strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Support the coordination and consolidation of market intelligence across teams
- Engage with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, customers to strengthen insight quality
Commercial Growth Planning & Support
- Support the development of commercial growth plans in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams
- Provide insight-led recommendations to inform prioritisation and go-to-market approaches
- Track and report on progress against agreed growth plans, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Support ongoing optimisation of initiatives based on performance and feedback
Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Support coordination of cross-functional initiatives across Services, ensuring alignment on objectives, actions, and milestones
- Contribute to clarity of roles, timelines, and measures of success across stakeholders
- Help maintain momentum and visibility across priority initiatives
Communication & Engagement
- Develop clear and compelling communications on commercial performance, insights, and progress
- Support the creation of materials that drive alignment and engagement across Services and wider stakeholders
- Contribute to leadership communications with fact-based insights and updates
- Ensure alignment with Services Marketing messaging and communication framework.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in commercial analysis, strategy, or insight roles, ideally within Services, B2B, or industrial environments
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Commercial acumen with understanding of revenue, margin, and value drivers
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and operational teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in service-led or after-market businesses
- Familiarity with market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer segmentation
- Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting
- Exposure to supporting cross-functional initiatives in matrix organisations
- Insight-driven and intellectually curious
- Structured thinker with strong problem-solving capability
- Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in matrix environments
- Comfortable operating through influence, with clear alignment to team and leadership priorities
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 83,200 - GBP 124,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
