Package: £45,000 - £55,000


Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on an exciting opportunity to recruit a General Practice Surveyor on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded firm of Property Consultancy based in East London.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused surveyor looking to join a respected independent practice with a strong reputation across East London and Essex.

The role has a particular focus on Lease Advisory, with the successful candidate taking responsibility for rent reviews, lease renewals and wider landlord & tenant matters across a varied commercial property portfolio. In addition, there will be exposure to valuation work, property inspections and wider general practice instructions, providing excellent breadth and career development opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Advising landlords and tenants on lease renewals and rent reviews
  • Undertaking landlord & tenant instructions across a varied portfolio
  • Conducting property inspections and site visits
  • Assisting with commercial valuation assignments
  • Providing professional advice to a broad client base
  • Supporting wider general practice and consultancy instructions
  • Liaising directly with clients, occupiers and professional advisers
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Producing clear reports and delivering practical commercial advice

What They're Looking For

  • Some experience of either Lease Advisory, General Practice, Commercial Valuation or Commercial Property Management
  • Exposure to rent reviews and lease renewals would be highly advantageous
  • Commercial property experience gained within consultancy or private practice
  • MRICS qualification preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded and enthusiastic approach
  • Desire to develop a long-term career within private practice
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Package & Details

  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • APC and MRICS support available
  • Exposure to a varied commercial property portfolio
