Job Scope

The GenScript Catalog Product Business Unit is expanding in Europe and is looking for a highly motivated Commercial Technical Support Specialist to join our European team. In this role, you will act as a strategic bridge between our European commercial teams, customers, and internal departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advancing the market presence of immunology cell separation and cell therapy/reagent product lines across Europe.
  • Driving strategic market insights, commercial enablement, and expert technical support.
  • Collaborating with customers to enhance product understanding and application success.
  • Supporting internal teams by delivering market intelligence to inform product development, optimisation, and regional strategy execution.

Job Title

Commercial Technical Support Specialist, Catalog Product


Key Responsibilities

Product Focus: Explore the catalog products for this role via: Catalog Products Brochure.

Working Arrangement:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week.
  • Location: Remote (based in United Kingdom, Germany, or France).

Core Duties:

  • Partner with your line manager to develop non-sales strategies for the cell separation product line in Europe and ensure execution.
  • Provide non-sales-oriented commercial promotion and full-cycle technical support for immunology cell separation products, tackling technical queries.
  • Promote the Cell Therapy/Reagent product line across Europe, fostering regional market awareness and enhancing product recognition.
  • Support local commercial teams via:
    • Customer mapping, profiling, and segmentation.
    • Organising targeted visits, product presentations, in-depth technical training, and on-site application guidance.
    • Strengthening customers' product recognition and operational proficiency.

  • Offer technical support (consultation, Q&A, troubleshooting) to commercial teams and end-users.
  • Track market dynamics, industry policies, and technological advances in European cell therapy/reagents, compiling insights for new product R&D and optimisation.
  • Analyze competitor offerings, assess their technical advantages, and contribute detailed research reports to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to streamline product launches, marketing campaigns, and technical optimisations in Europe.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by your manager.

What We Expect From You

Education

  • MSc or PhD in one of the following: Immunology, Structural Biology, Protein Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or Medicine.

Experience

  • 1–2 years in commercial roles within life sciences preferred.
  • Experience with catalog-based product portfolios (cell separation, cell therapy, or reagents) is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong market research and analysis skills to identify trends and competitor insights.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Logical thinking, ability to work cross-functionally, and collaborate effectively with both commercial and R&D teams.
  • High execution capacity, adaptability, and eagerness to integrate within Europe’s work culture.
  • Technical proficiency in defining solutions and addressing client challenges.

Languages

  • Fluent in English (mandatory).
  • Preferred: Fluent in German, French, or Mandarin.

Travel Requirement

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for business needs.
