Commercial Tyre Fitter
Owens Group is a fast-developing, multi-site organization, with a large diverse customer base, making this an exciting opportunity.
To maintain, inspect, repair and replace all tyres on Owens Group fleet vehicles and trailers to prescribed company standards.
Monday - Friday 07:00-17:00, additional Saturdays, plus callouts
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- To maintain, inspect and repair all tyres fitted to Owens Group Vehicles/Trailers
- Undertake tyre checks all HGV vehicles/trailers in preparation for annual MOT inspections
- To attend Breakdowns on company vehicles/trailers, repair/replace and damaged tyres where appropriate
- To prepare and decommission vehicles/trailers, replacing new tyres with part worn's in line with company policy
- To complete all associated paperwork, to ensure all statistics and legal information are produced
- To ensure all relevant Health & Safety procedures are adhered to
- To maintain all work areas in a safe and clean condition
- To attend training courses as required to ensure skills are updated
- Carry out any other duties as required by the business

Previous experience of working with all aspects of HGV/Trailer and light commercial tyre fitting
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of truck tyre fleet controls.
- Be able to carry out work with the minimum of supervision.
- Effectively manage time and meet deadlines
- Good standard of written and verbal communication
Qualifications
- Full driving licence
Other Requirements
- Willing to attend additional training courses
- Willing to overtime where required by the needs of the Business
- Willing to participate in the out of hours call out rota
