A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Technology Transactions Associate (2-6 PQE) to join its highly regarded London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work on some of the most innovative and complex technology projects in the market, advising a diverse client base across a range of sectors.

The team is recognised for its expertise in advising on cutting-edge technology, telecommunications and commercial transactions, and continues to play a key role in helping clients navigate digital transformation, emerging technologies and large-scale technology implementations.

The Role

You will advise on a broad spectrum of technology-focused commercial matters, including:

  • Cloud computing and SaaS agreements
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects and related commercial arrangements
  • Business process and IT outsourcing agreements
  • Software development, licensing and support contracts
  • Technology implementation and transformation projects
  • Telecommunications and digital infrastructure matters
  • Strategic commercial agreements involving complex technology solutions

This role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work alongside market-leading technology lawyers on high-value, often international transactions.

Candidate Requirements

Applications are welcomed from lawyers with:

  • Approximately 2-6 years' post-qualification experience
  • Experience gained within a leading private practice firm and/or a technology-focused in-house legal team
  • Strong experience advising on technology and commercial contracts, particularly cloud/SaaS, outsourcing, software development and implementation projects
  • A solid understanding of the key legal and commercial issues arising in technology transactions, including:
    • Warranties and indemnities
    • Limitation of liability provisions
    • Service level agreements (SLAs)
    • Transition and exit arrangements
    • Change control mechanisms
    • Software escrow arrangements
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • A commercially focused and pragmatic approach to advising clients
