Objectives

  • To work closely with the Kitchen team in order to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of produce
  • To support the Kitchen Team in managing daily operational and qualitative aspects in the kitchen
  • Work towards achieving company standards. This will be monitored regularly
  • Record given recipes and carry them out when requested
  • Competent working on all sections
  • Develop a professional relationship with other members of staff
  • Develop a palate and an understanding of the produce we use

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the quality of food in their section
  • To support the Kitchen team in all aspects of food production and presentation according to the established standards consistently
  • To ensure that the equipment, utensils and working areas are kept clean and in good working order all the time
  • To ensure that their own section is always organised to meet business demands
  • To keep the kitchen team constantly informed on all food related stock item levels in accordance with business levels
  • To produce, in good time, all dishes to the agreed specifications and profitability
  • Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results
  • To make yourself available for company training to help management to continually improve the skill base in the kitchen
  • To adhere to all Food Hygiene Practices and procedures
  • To assist the Kitchen team with daily inspection of the physical aspects of all kitchen areas, cold rooms and equipment
  • To be responsible for ensuring all daily administrative work is completed in a timely manner
  • To carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Senior Management
