Commis
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that food safety standards are met. This role is perfect for individuals looking to grow their culinary skills in a dynamic kitchen environment, where teamwork and hospitality are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as per the chef’s specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Support senior chefs in food production and presentation, ensuring high standards are met.
- Help supervise kitchen staff and assist with training new team members.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
- Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for food preparation is key.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities with a willingness to help supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members.
- A desire to learn and develop within the hospitality industry, with a focus on culinary excellence.

Work Arrangement
Live Out (will consider Live In for a suitable candidate).
Expected Hours
40 per week over 5 days, including weekends.
