Chef – Full-Time Position (40 Hours per Week, 41 Weeks per Year)

Chartwells is looking for an ambitious Chef to help us craft exceptional food experiences for our clients and customers. About the Role

Would you like to turn your passion and culinary expertise into excellence? Chartwells is seeking a dedicated Chef to contribute their skills to one of the UK’s leading food service businesses.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food to delight clients and customers
  • Overseeing and implementing menu changes, ensuring offerings stay fresh and appealing
  • Identifying opportunities to continuously improve food service standards
  • Listen and act on customer feedback, fostering consistent enhancement
  • Supporting the creation of new menus and novel food concepts
  • Safeguarding Chartwells’ reputation with excellent intermediary representation
  • Monitoring inventory levels to maintain fully stocked kitchens
  • Ensuring kitchen compliance with stringent cleaning and hygiene standards
  • Adhering to Food Handling, Hygiene, Health, and Safety regulations

Requirements

Of course, we’re looking for the best entry to our kitchen team:

  • A genuine passion for great-tasting food and outstanding customer service
  • A recognised City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 or equivalent NVQ qualification
  • Experience supervising kitchen teams
  • Experience in a Chef role within a similar professional setting
  • A valid Food Hygiene certificate
  • Demonstrating flexibility in commitment and approach
